Website Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This notice explains what personal data is processed when you visit www.discover-app.it (the "Site"), under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). It covers the Site only: the Discover app will have its own notice.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Marco Rizzo, via Alessandro Volta 5, 20060 Pozzuolo Martesana (MI), Italy (the "Controller"). For any request, write to info@discover-app.it.
2. What data we process
The Site is an information showcase: it has no registration, contact forms, newsletter or payments. The only data processed is the following:
- Browsing data: when you visit the Site, the systems hosting it automatically record technical data such as your IP address, approximate location derived from the IP (city and country), date and time of the visit, pages requested, and browser and device type.
- Data you send by email: if you write to us, we process your email address, the content of your message and any other data you choose to include.
3. Why we process it and on what legal basis
- Running and protecting the Site: browsing data is used to show you the pages, keep the Site secure and prevent abuse. The legal basis is the Controller's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Replying to your messages: the legal basis is the legitimate interest in handling the requests received or, if your request concerns a relationship with the Controller, steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Complying with the law and protecting rights: data may be used to meet legal obligations or to defend against claims (Article 6(1)(c) and (f)).
Browsing data is necessary to visit the Site. Writing to us by email is your choice, but without that data we cannot reply.
4. Cookies
The Site does not use profiling cookies or any analytics, advertising or tracking tools. That is why you will not see a cookie banner: one is not required when a site uses no cookies or only technical cookies.
If traffic looks abnormal or suspicious, the hosting provider may run automatic security checks that can require a technical cookie. The fonts are also hosted on the Site, so they are not loaded from external services such as Google Fonts.
5. Who receives the data
Data is not sold or used for advertising. It may be processed on the Controller's behalf, solely for the services they provide, by:
- Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States, which hosts the Site and acts as data processor;
- Aruba S.p.A., via San Clemente 53, 24036 Ponte San Pietro (BG), Italy, which provides the Controller's email service, for messages received.
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel may process data in the United States and in other countries where it operates. Vercel participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the European Commission in its adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, and uses standard contractual clauses where required.
7. How long we keep data
- Browsing data: for as long as needed to run and secure the Site. It is then deleted or anonymised under Vercel's procedures, which do not state a fixed period.
- Emails: for as long as needed to handle your request and no longer than 24 months after the last exchange, unless required for longer by law or to protect a right.
8. Your rights
You may at any time ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing and receive it in a portable format, in the cases provided for by the GDPR. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, write to info@discover-app.it.
If you believe your data is being processed improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority of your EU country of residence.
9. Automated decisions
No decisions are made solely by automated means and no profiling takes place.
10. Minors
The Site is not aimed at minors and Discover is intended for adults. If you are under 18, do not send us personal data without the consent of a parent or guardian.
11. Changes to this notice
The Controller may update this notice, for example if the Site or the services used change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the last updated date shown at the top.
For the rules on using the Site, see the Terms and Conditions.
